Welcome to the Homefront Badge Project, where we take everything one day at a time, or maybe even one hour at a time.
Because if you’re here, there’s a good chance life feels upside-down (again), and that you’re sitting in a mamad. Many of us are working, parenting and worrying from home, and trying to keep some version of normal going inside our heads. All while doing it in our non-native language.
And man, that’s a lot. But these badges? They’re meant to be small, fun recognitions of the everyday things that all of a sudden take real effort.
So here’s the idea:
We’re gonna be like Girls Scouts but also completely not like Girl Scouts. We’re not learning to do outdoorsy things, we’re fully committed to staying indoors and in sweatpants. But let’s do the badge part, the recognition part, even if the only person clapping for you is you. So print these badges (there's 30+ of them!), cut them out, color them in if you have it in you. But if that’s too much, just stick them on your fridge, bathroom mirror or front window to show off to the neighbors.
Remember, there is no badge committee. And we're all making this up as we go along. Because living here right now and getting through the day deserves acknowledgment, even if it’s just a small badge. And even if you have to print it yourself. So, congratulations! You’re doing better than you think!
